SMALL CHANGE, BIG IMPACT : COZY LIVING ROOM UPDATE
We’ve spent more time together at home the past few months than ever before. We now work, attend school, work out and even participate in social events, all from home. Since moving into the new house at the beginning of the year, I’ve been slowly adding touches and furnishings here and there to make the space feel like the comforting haven that we’ve all craved these past few months.

DESIGN TIP: Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need a ton of new décor pieces to revamp your space. With this tried and true design tip in mind and the fact that winter has arrived, I popped over to the Birch Lane website to select pieces that would inject a bit of cozy warmth and style in the living room. I wanted to continue the theme of familiar comfort in the space so I settled on the faux fur throw (it doesn’t get cozier than that right?) and this cool petite marble tray for the coffee table.
This lightweight faux fur throw is soft and plush. BONUS: It’s also lined with fleece! I love that it instantly adds a sense of luxury and warmth to the living room.
The marble tray makes coffee table styling easy and can also be used for layering smaller decorative pieces or even resting a drink. I’ve had this set of vintage miniature iron horse figurines for some time now and have been waiting to find just the right place to display them. The elegant white marble with beautifully subtle gray veining really adds a touch of class to the coffee table. I placed the set of miniature horses atop the marble tray and absolutely love the look.
The tray’s petite size makes it quite versatile. It can also be used as a catchall for keys or cellphone drop off in your entryway.
